Meet the Donkeys

We are guardians to two beautiful, kind donkeys owned by The Donkey Sanctuary, the international charity.   Barney and Pumpkin came to us in 2014 as 3 year old unwanted donkeys. They happily had not had any ill treatment, but needed a good home together. They are now teenagers in donkey terms – and lovely, gentle boys, although they play very rough with each other like all boys do! We always say their job is to make people smile, and they regularly visit care homes and care farms, as well as going on fundraising events for The Donkey Sanctuary. They love having visits and cuddles, and guests are welcome to have a donkey familiarisation session with them by arrangement.  (Please do not give them any titbits however, as they are watching their waistlines and they do understand that treats have to be earned by doing something especially good).
