Acorn Cottage is on the edge of the glorious Peak District, just 5 miles from Matlock and Chesterfield.

This peaceful fully modernised, self-catering cottage sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, with a refurbished bathroom with bath and the added benefit of a downstairs shower/ WC.

This dog-friendly cottage is a great base for families visiting the Peak District or a convenient rendezvous point to meet friends.

You can take a farm tour, get involved with the animals, pet the donkeys and goats, or enjoy the farm produce!

With a private garden and log burner Acorn Cottage is ideal for a self-catering holiday at any time of the year!

Welcome to Acorn Holiday Cottage

A warm  welcome awaits you at Acorn Cottage, a peaceful barn conversion on the edge of Ashover in quiet rural Derbyshire close to the Peak District National Park.

Acorn Cottage is set on our working smallholding.  It is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday, or you may prefer to take in a visit to the magnificent Chatsworth House, immerse yourself in the industrial heritage of the Derwent Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site, or just lose yourself in the lovely countryside.

If walking is your ideal holiday, there are walks for all capabilities from the door and the glorious Peak District National Park is close by with its spectacular scenery, pretty villages, fantastic walking and stunning views.  We are happy to help you plan your holiday, or just point you in the right direction, whatever you prefer.
