We love having dogs to stay at Acorn Cottage and the private garden and variety of walks from the door are ideal for your canine companion, whether you want a short stretch or a day walk. The Peak District is a short drive away if you prefer longer or more energetic walks.

There is no charge for up to 2 dogs but they must be booked in with their human companions. We provide a dog bed, dog throws for the sofas, a bowl, doggy towels and poo bags for our canine visitors.

Stamp Café in Ashover and our 4 local pubs are dog friendly and we can help with ideas for pet friendly days out or evening meals.

The private garden at Acorn Cottage has walls and hedges on the boundaries but depending on your dog the garden may not be totally escape-proof, so you will find a tying ring in the garden so your canine friend can sit out with you in safety.

Please note that dogs are not allowed upstairs and must not be left alone in the cottage at any time.  We can recommend local doggy daycare providers if required.  Please see our doggy T&Cs before booking.
